Texas-born singer/songwriter and guitarist Barry Bynum launched his career with a series of garage rock bands in the 1970s. His greatest work, however, has come through the spiritual tunes that he's favored since becoming a born-again Christian as a teenager and forming pioneering CCM band Liberation Suite.
After leaving Liberation Suite in the early '90s Bynum and his wife Kristi moved to Northern Ireland, where he launched a solo career and led rock music worship services at Christian Fellowship Church, Belfast, which opened many new doors.
During this time he released his debut solo album, Stickin' Your Neck Out described by Cross Rythmns magazine as "a scorching album chock full of Texas rock blues licks" and To You, a more contemplative worship-centred album which combined live recordings and studio tracks.
Bynum and his family returned to Texas in 1999.
